Q- While in India, the hair styling and coloring both are been taken seriously and women are not shying away to experiment with unusual styles, how is it going globally? A- Today the colour holds an important place in the “capillary method”. Every country uses the colour depending on the culture lifestyle. In central Europe the colour is rather classic, in Eastern Europe it is “flashy” as women are daring. In UK, it is more varied.
Q- What are the best hair looks for India hair texture and colour that give an international appeal too? A- I really think the long hair style is perfect for Indian women. Each cut for long hair has a different style because the techniques are well suited for a custom look. In Europe, long hair is very successful. Beautiful materials, volume, flexibility, this is a universal demand of every woman. In India, corporate women can also sport short hair which gives modern look.
Q- Coloring is a big attraction among youth today in India? Whats your suggestion for it in terms of pros and cons? A- Each generation likes to go for coloured hair but varies in terms of approach and taste. I specialize in beauty hair color, classical or avant-garde. When you choose to colour your hair, it is essential to consult the right professional for diagnosis.
Q- Hair cut has seen a drastic change all over the world, thanks to international fashion and couture weeks. What are the common followed hair cuts by experts globally? A- The fashion weeks in Paris, New York, Milan are essential in the world of hairdressing. They boost the creativity of each hairstylist and provide codes for most of the seasons like Alexander McQueen’s new volumes and textures, Louis Vuitton has revived the bob, Jean Paul Gaultier has gone retro.
Q- You are soon visiting India, is it some expansion plan that you are coming for? How do you see Indian Hair Industry? A- I will be visiting India to lead the creative team of L Oreal India which will happen during the Haute Coiffure Francaise in Paris on September 11. I will be with this team for a year now, and it will be really interesting for me to see this great team evolve. I think the hair industry is now growing and that Indian fashion is going to be important in the world. |
