Q What can women wear to look slimmer?
A It is important to understand your body type first. Pear shaped women should wear something to add more volume on top, hourglass ones can’t have cowls or too many things happening on top. Cuts should be sharp. Apple shaped ones are plump all around so tunics and outfit with small prints will look good on them.

Q Any print or colour that can accentuate or hide body fat?
A Though black hides your fat to some extent, a lot depends on silhouette. If you wear cheap quality nylon dress in black it will show bulges. Plump women wearing an over coat with little bit of bright colour like lime green on it won’t be a disaster but going bright from top to bottom is a complete no. Many believe that horizontal stripes will make you appear heavier and vertical slimmer but that’s not true in all the cases. Sometimes vertical stripes that are wide can give a broader look.

Q What should be avoided?
A Huge belt is one accessory that heavy women can do without. Go for slightly high waist skirt with thin belt to hide the flabby portion of your body.

Q How important are under garments to make women look heavy or slim?
A Under garments are extremely important. They have to fit well. Wear it with your top and see if it fits then buy it rather than buying one without trying with a top.

Q How can expecting mothers dress up without looking over sized?
A Empire cut will suit them.  It should be fitted till bust followed by flare.  A long over coat can also hide the baby bump.
