A After the much needed CTM (Cleansing, toning and moisturizing), foundation should be applied. It should not look obvious so the colour of the foundation has to be selected that will compliment your complexion. Then you can work on your eyes. Light eyebrowed women can darken their eyebrows by using eyebrow pencils.

Q How can one make few changes in smoky make-up?

A Smoky suits most women if done properly.  Those who want subtle hint of colour can go with navy blue or dark green. Those who don’t want to experiment much can stick to black or brown. It should be dark and not bright. Smoky eyes look great with nude lip gloss or wine red lipstick. To give glamorous look, wear fake eye lashes. Use proper glue so that it adheres well.

Q Any other look other than smoky one?

A Asian look can be done. Apply black eyeliner with creamy white eyeshadow, lots of mascara and curl your lashes. Don’t touch lower part of your eyes. Keep it bare. Use pink blush on upper part of your cheeks and go with red lips. It has a very international look. This looks beautiful with plain black or white dress.

Q What should be avoided?

A Many think if its party, metallic make-up should be applied but silver doesn’t look good on Indian skin tone. It goes grey. If you want to have some metallic, go with bronze. Don’t make your face all shiny, it will give an oily look. Avoid going for just one colour. Colour blocking is in. Green eyeshadow with metallic or yellow nail paint and rich purple lips can look good provided you carry it off well.

A Wipes! Many brands are manufacturing face wipes which are easy to use and quick. You don’t need mirror or oil. After party when you are all tired, this is the best make-up remover you can get your hands on.
