Developed by the creative chefs and masters of Welcomgroup Cuisine Development Cell, dining at Nakshatra takes you to the food stations representing each star such as
Pushya, Dhanistha, and Magha. Symbolically, they represent a connect between the ingredients and health of an individual.
Pushya means to strengthen or to fortify. Therefore the first island Pushya offers a myriad selection of accompaniments like Murabbas, Achar and Chutneys. Dhanishta is said to elevate the mood of the people. Hence, at the second island you find an assortment of Raitas, yoghurt based appetizers, exotic cold Chaats, Lassi, Shikanji to elevate your mood to reach the perfect high. Magha signifies wealth and luxury so at the third island you will find an exquisite selection of wines to add a sparkle to your spirits.
The Menu
The menu is based on the authentic foods from five states including Kashmir, Punjab, Dilli, Awadh and Rajasthan.
Start the Nakshatra experience with Indian drinks like Shikanjvi, Sherbet, Chach, Kanji, or Thandai. They are instant coolers and whet the appetite pretty nicely.
The menu offers a vast array of shorbas like Shorba e Nazakat, Nishasta, Yakhni Firdoush, and Paya Shorba. The carefully culled kebabs from Tandoor, Tava, and Sigri include Bharwan Nukti Aloo, Zafrani Jhinga, Shakerkandi ki Gilafi, Sigri ki Macchi, Anjeer Kebab, Pasanda Kebab, Bharwan Paneer Til Tinka, and Murgh Angare. A delectable selection of classical Indian papads (in small finger bite size), and some traditional Indian street snacks are also served to the guests. Authentically prepared curries like Ruwagan Chaman, Gobhi Methi Ka Tuk, Goan Masala Fried Prawns, Mahi Kandahari, Murgh Lababdar, Nehari are served with traditional accompaniments. You can request for the live Dal Tadka trolley with four lentils and different spices for tadka (temperings), like cumin, roasted garlic, tomato, onion, green chilli, roasted cumin, sesame seed, and ginger. The chef actually adds that special dash to the traditional Dal without oil and butter too – great for weight watchers.
