Food for Winters

Winter season and craving for hot tea or coffee or freshly cooked food increases. Include the following in your diet to fight the chill.

Fruit and Vegetables: Veggies like Carrots and Leeks and fruits like Papaya, apricots and peaches are beneficial and healthy. Green Vegetables like cabbage and spinach are good sources of iron. They are particularly good to keep your body warm.

Dry Fruits: Consumption of dry fruits like cashews, almonds, walnuts and raisins is a great way to increase body temperature. Munch these in place of unhealthy fried snacks this winter.

Soups and beverage: Add soups and warm drinks to your favorites this winter. The homemade soups are easy, cheap and nutritious. They keep you warm and full for a longer duration of time. Warm drinks like soy milk, herbal tea, green tea and kawha will keep you warm and hydrated.
