These colourful, natural beauty-enhancers are perfect to bring a smile and glow on your face

Your taste buds might have diverse demands but your skin has similar taste. Knowing their benefits, it
is hard to resist the colourful palette of vegetables and fruits. So pick them up, blend and apply.

Apple
When somebody asks me “A for…?”, it takes me back to kindergarten days when I used to raise my
hand instantly and say ‘Apple’. Apart from keeping the doctor away, this red fruit has many beauty
benefits. Since it is rich in Vitamin C which is anti-oxidant, it delays ageing by protecting skin from free
radicals. When skin lacks moisture, signs of ageing appear soon. To avoid that, take apple skin and
grind it. Add honey to it in small quantity and mix. This will help to reduce skin dryness. Those with
oily skin can go for the juice mixed with lime juice to control excess oil on face.

Watermelon
Watermelon is more known for quenching thirst. It’s application does the same for your skin. Remove
the seeds and make a paste of it. Leave it on till it dries up and then rinse well. It works as a cleanser
and is good for those with oily skin.


Cucumber
When the sun starts beating down on us mercilessly; cool cucumber comes to rescue us! Few slices of
this green vegetable on face soothe your skin instantly. When the same slices are placed on eyes for
few minutes, we know the worn out look disappears with time. Make a paste of it and apply on your
face to relieve your skin from heat and keep it hydrated. You can even add milk in small quantity to
the paste. This will give you a homemade toner!



Strawberry
Strawberry is the favorite lip balm flavor of most women. The same fruit can be used to control extra
oil on your face! Mix it with yoghurt and apply the paste on your face. Let it stay for 15 minutes. This
will make you feel fresh and less greasy.

Guava
Guava always tastes delicious though the seeds can get annoying at times. For making a face pack
using guava, you don’t need the seeds either. Cut the fruit into two pieces and grind till it turns into
a pulp. Once that is done add milk to it and mix well. Apply it on your face and leave it on for 20
minutes.

Mango
Mangoes, summer and sun tan are all connected. While the hot sun contributes to skin darkness, this
juicy king of fruits helps to remove the tan. Cut the fruit into two and take one half of it. Blend it with
natural emollient honey and flour. Apply the paste on your face and keep it for approximately fifteen
minutes. Do this every day after coming back home and see how it lightens your skin tone.
