According to Gayathri Khanna, this year’s look for the Signature Premier Indian Derby is chic & elegant, understated yet glamorous. Pastel & ivory colours work well this Derby season. Being a day event, even white will work well but colours like purple and maroon should be avoided. If it is pants that have caught your fancy, look at teaming flaring palazzo pants with a matching jacket and carry the IT bag of the season. If it’s a dress, then go for a short dress but not a very short one. It can be teamed with different innovative headgear as the Derby is all about hats. Or you can also wear a full length one shoulder gown with light detailing and pair it with a nice hat and clutch. Jumpsuits are also in and can be accessorized well to make a statement. Floras will look very nice but don’t dress like you are going to the beach. Overall, clothing should be fuss free and allow movement, should be breezy summery and not be dressed for night events. Finally, whatever look you decide on, don’t forget to wear oversized sunshades to go with your outfit!
